Rose Centres

Southern California is proud to be one of over 30 Rose Centres representing Irish women worldwide!   Below are links that will take you to some of the other Centres' websites.

  • New York Rose Centre

A four time winner – 1974, 1976, 2000, & 2007 – the Big Apple has well-represented the Irish in Tralee since the early days of the Festival.   The current Rose of Tralee – Lisa Murtaugh – is from New York and her memories of her Year as the Rose can be found here:  Lisa’s Diary

  • Chicago Rose Centre

With the honor of being the first North American Centre to be selected as the International Rose (1960), Chicago repeated the feat in 1987.  Now, back after a few years absence, the fabled Windy City is looking for its next Rose.

  • San Francisco Rose Centre

The Golden State is doubly represented with Southern California and San Francisco.  Already 40 plus years strong, San Francisco is more than place to leave your heart, but a place that sends amazing representatives of the Irish culture in Northern California.

  • Texas Rose Centre

Celebrating their 25th Anniversary in 2008, Texas is more than just their traditional yellow roses – they are all about Tralee Roses, too.

  • Philadelphia Rose Centre

One of the newest Rose Centres (2002) in North America, Philadelphia is a welcome addition to the Rose Family.

  • New Jersey Rose Centre

One the newest Rose Centres from North America, New Jersey looks forward to the years ahead as a part of the fabulous Rose of Tralee program worldwide!

  • Queensland Rose Centre

First time winner in 2006, Queensland shares a special connection with Southern California as two former Roses are sisters-in-law and mothers of Rosebuds.

  • Perth Rose Centre

As just one of the many Rose Centres for Australia, two-time winner Perth (1995 & 2001) is a proud representative of the Irish.

  • New Zealand Rose Centre

Double winner New Zealand – 1966 & 1988 – has long represented the Irish in Tralee and will continue to do so for years to come.

  • Dublin Rose Centre

Five time winner, including the very first Rose of Tralee Alice O'Sullivan in 1959, the Dublin Rose has been a constant of the Festival for the past half century.

  • Luxembourg Rose Centre

Representing just one of the many European nations over the years, the small country of Luxembourg has gained huge exposure worldwide thanks in part its proud Irish Roses.
